THE PERFECT BROW EVERYDAY!

Picture

GREAT NEWS! Goddess Faces By Mrz. Jaye now offers microblading AND Microshading! Licensed and certified by the state of Florida to practice Microblading and Microshading which is a form of Semi Permanent Makeup.

WHAT IS MICROBLADING?
Microblading is a semi permanent cosmetic tattoo for the eyebrows.  Color is implanted and applied to the skin beneath the surface to give the appearance of natural looking hair strokes. These strokes look like individual hairs and look very realistic unlike previous brow tattooing methods which had a very heavy and sharpie-like appearance. Microblading is perfect for people who want to define, fill in gaps or create a new shape as a result of scarce or over plucked eyebrows.

 What is Microshading/ Ombre Brows?
is performed with the use of a manual hand tool and a round configured needle. This technique creates a soft powdered effect that resembles makeup. The look you would attain when applying eyebrow pencil or powder. It is very similar to Microblading but instead of hair like strokes, a fuller and softer effect is created.
Brows are shaded in by “tapping” pigment into the skin manually with a special needle or machine .

F.A.Q

Please Read Carefully.

Am I eligible for microblading?

It is important to understand that not everyone is a candidate for Microblading and Microshading.
Those with the following contraindications CAN NOT have the treatment performed.

Those under the age of 18, Pregnant or nursing mothers, women who are menstruating at the scheduled service time, those on blood thinners or certain medications, clients with diabetes, those who are iron deficient or Anemic, those with pacemakers, those with very low pain tolerance, those prone to or who have a history of keloid scaring, those using antibiotics or who have used antibiotics in the last 14 days, those with cuts abrasions diseases or disorders to the treatment area prior to the service, those using Retin-A or retinals, those on Accutane or Retinoids, those with cold or flue like symptoms, those who are immunocompromised (those with HIV, AIDS, those who are currently on chemotherapy or radiation treatment or taking immunocompromising medications).

If you have been diagnosed with Diabetes or any condition that may prolong or prevent the healing process, please bring a written note of clearance from your primary care provider stating that you are able to receive a tattoo service.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
I book 2 1/2 hours for the service. It takes approximately 2 hours but I like to add additional time if the client is running late and for sanitizing the room and clean up. The numbing of the brows, measuring and drawing takes up half the time. The actual hands on time is roughly 45 minutes.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE CONSULTATION?
The consultation and preparation for microblading takes up the majority of the appointment. The actual process of microblading is fairly quick. During the consultation we discuss the desired shape and color. I typically measure out your ideal shape and brow length based on your face shape. Ultimately, the final shape is tailored to the clients specifics. Feel free to come to the appointment with brow makeup on so I can see how you usually wear your brows. I will also have paperwork for you to fill out and review in depth after care instructions with you.

WHAT TO AVOID BEFORE TREATMENT.
Make sure that you cut back on alcohol, avoid blood thinners, brow waxing, facial exfoliation, AHA's/BHA's, aspirin and retinol at least one week before your treatment. These can thin and/or sensitize the skin and can lead to increased bleeding.

DOES MICROBLADING HURT?
I use Lidocaine to numb the skin in preparation of microblading. Pain is relative. There is some pain but it is minimal and bareable. It can feel like little scratches. The pain is not great enough to dissuade individuals from getting the procedure.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Since microblading is semi-permanent it typically lasts from 1 1/2 to 3 years.

WILL THE COLOR FADE?
After your treatment your brows can look alot darker and fuller than expected. ITS OK! THIS IS NORMAL! You will loose 40% of the color in the month it takes your skin to heal. In the following days immediately after the service, the eyebrows will continue to be dark. The eyebrows will lighten up in color as the skin heals so don't worry! Your brows won't look as dark as they do immediately after.

What are the determining factors that contribute to the success of the treatment.
  • The quality of aftercare is the biggest determining factor in the success of the outcome. The better the after care, the better the results. Great aftercare will lead to less likely need for touchups in the long run, better pigment retention, less scaring and cleaner looking lines.
  • The treatment will be less successful for those with very oily skin. The constant production of oil during the healing process will push and diffuse the pigment from the skin, creating a powdery and less define deposit of pigment.
  • Pigment fades sooner on frequent smokers.
  • Pigment fades sooner for those on blood thinners and those with anemia.
  • Those with previous tattoos or scaring may not be eligible and will be evaluated during the consultation.
  • Those with previous permanent makeup or those with scaring on the treatment area are more likely to need several touch ups before the desired result can be obtained. Touch ups are charged accordingly.
  • Sun exposure will cause fading to the treatment area.
  • Face soaps, exfoliants, or acidic treatments of any kind will cause the pigment to fade at an elevated rate.
Signs of infection would include redness or swelling that will not subside, any green yellow or white discharge, extreme itching or pain. It is vital that you contact your primary care physician for immediate treatment. The best way to prevent infection is by following all aftercare instructions thoroughly.

AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS
It is normal for some flaking and scabbing for the first week but following the aftercare instructions help avoid this. Do not pick at the scabs as it could damage the outcome of the microblading. I recommend cleaning the area with sterile water and then protecting it with Aquaphor. You will be given a take home care guide along with A & D healing ointment. This should be done for a week. I ask clients to avoid picking or irritating the area during the healing process. Avoid swimming, steam rooms, sauna's, tanning, using exfoliating scrubs or acids, smoking and drinking alcohol as it can slow the healing process. The healing of the deeper strokes takes approximately 3 weeks.

Touch ups are done only after completely healed in 4-6 weeks.
Cost for Touch Up: $100*
